Volume 2 follows a darker, more emotionally charged path deeper into the same forest as on Volume 1. Continuing their sonic homage to theoretical and astrophysics. Synths, guitars and electroacoustic manipulations describe a dark and convoluted sonic blanket of shifting scale. Quickly changing psychological shades ripple and shift like the storms. Rhythms and melodies coalesce from vapor and disappear quickly while binaural synth pulses rise and fall like liquid mercury. The compositions are designed to fit together into two cohesive movements for side A and side B but also stand alone as vignettes.
THEATH / MANNING are concerned here with creating an audible love letter to the liver twisting ideas being proposed by theoretical physics. Abstraction feels to be a very fitting mode to describe the concepts that physicists are theorizing about the universe we live in with it’s absurd and precarious nature.
